If I were to apply to any school out of the US it would be in London England. Just in case George W. wins the 2004 presidential election:laugh: , Does anyone know of some accredited US affiliated medical schools in England? Feedback would be very much appreciated.

those schools that sound like "royal college of physicians and surgeons" sound goodz =)

Remember that "osteopath" means something different in England. I don't think they are not fully qualified Physicians and Surgeons as they are in the US.

Here is a list that someone posted earlier of
English M.D. schools that may accept students from elsewhere.

Of course it is also a good idea to check out the schools in Ireland through AtlanticBridge.com. Those programs are 5 years in length or 6 years if you don't have a bachelors.

Leicester Warwick Medical School (this program looks fairly well established)
University of Liverpool
Barts & The London
University of Nottingham
University of Oxford
University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

There is a US affiliated medical school in England where you would spend the 1st 2 years of school studying the basic sciences in cambridge, England (1 year in Luton and the second year in Cambridge). Then you would do your 3rd and 4th year clinical rotations in the U.S., I guess you could choose which part of the U.S. It sounds like a credible program and if you want more info on it, check out their website: http://www.stchris.edu

I prefer remaining in the U.S. but if you really would like to check out the british scene, it might be a viable option for ya! Good Luck!! 😀

This is not a long established school and is not licensed by the English government so be careful. I would stick with the tried and true.

Thanx.
Im just weighing my options. Boy, I thought the US would have at least SOME affiliations with England..after all they are bed buddies, but so far i have been looking around and there are no real programs with established links. and in England, medical school is an undergrad education. wow?

i'm sure there are great programs in England, but you would really have to search for programs directly connected with US hospitals. if anyone knows anything else???...holla!
