What advice do you have about finding scholarships and winning awards?

Personally, I have never had any luck with books or websites that are full of scholarships. I have always burnt hours going through them thoroughly, just to find practically nothing I am qualified for. In the past, even websites with lots of filters just take longer to fill out, and then confirm that there is nothing out there for me.

Has anyone else suffered this? How can this be remedied? Maybe I am looking in the wrong place or going about this all wrong?
