Looking for advice please. Wondering what my chances are for DO. BSc in kinesiology gpa 3.14 from a canadian university with upward trend finishing with3.75 in my last semster and over 3.5 last 3. 3 quarters of chiropractic college which was mostly graduate level sciences gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, cell bio, histology, biochem 3.96 gpa (4.0 for last 2), post bacc classes between UNE and community college 3.98 GPA. All together around 3.38 for both cGPA and sGPA. Currently still a canadian resident so will only be applying to schools that accept international. 506 (125/124/128/128) on MCAT but also wrote again on April 28, however I might be regretting that decision come May 30...
200 hours volunteering over last 8 months with 2 hospitals, Volunteered in Ecuador building septic systems in an Amazon village for a week, coached a junior hockey team for a year, walked dogs at a shelter for a year or so. Just starting to shadow an internist/endo this week.
Considering a masters of medical science this fall but might be kind of useless because half of it would be repetitive from chiropractic. Didnt decide on medicine until learning about DO in chiro college, as per my grades do not even me a chance at schools in Canada.
Any input would be appreciated!
