Hello All!

Florida resident here with a great story/personal statement as to why I would like to be a Physician, put myself through school as a full time student while working full time. Wondering if I am competitive for Florida and other low/mid-tier MD schools in the US. My stats are as follows:
cGPA: 3.90
sGPA: 3.92
MCAT: 507 (127, 125, 127, 128)

EC's include:
-ER Physician Scribe/Scribe trainer since 2012, accumulating approximately 6500 hours. Have been Chief Scribe at my location for the last 18 months.
- Approximately 1500 hours working as a Registrar at Urgent Care since 2016.
- Organic Chemistry research, worked on NSF funded project that has been used in the schools Inorganic chemistry curriculum.
- 1st place at Research Symposium.
- Founder and Treasurer of new pre-medical organization at school, and won Student Organization of the Year award.
-Volunteer Biochemistry tutor in the schools Biochemistry department for 6 months.
-300 hours of shadowing Urologist, Cardiologist, and Internist.

Any advice/recommendations are welcome!

You are competitive for all your Florida schools (except Miami) and apply to NOVA MD if it opens for 2019. Others schools you could try include:
Quinnipiac
New York Medical College
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
GW
Georgetown
Oakland Beaumont
Rosalind Franklin
St. Louis
Creighton

Nova MD has been through site review, slated for October decision; if approved, will sit a 2018 class.

My only advice would be to pick a better team:rofl:

Your stats are fine - many who matriculate would like to have them. Best of luck!!

Loyola Chicago might be another good addition. For Wake Forest you are slightly below their MCAT for matriculants might still be worth applying.
