As my Im starting to begin the AMCAS application process, Im really having second thoughts about applying...what are my chances?!
- Cum GPA (undergrad): 3.32 (biochemistry major, microbiology minor)
- Post Bac GPA: 4.0 (have completed first year of a two year program at Case Western)
- MCAT: 32 Q
- Other stuff:
- worked part time job during both undergrad/post-bacc (office assistant-type jobs at medical centers)
- 2 years of research, and one publication
- many volunteer experiences (including: trip to Costa Rica to set up
free clinics, tutoring at the local community college, mentoring )
- about 40 hours of shadowing
Im applying to all schools in my state (Ohio), and schools like Loyola, Drexel, Tufts, Georgetown .schools that fit my MCAT score, but not my GPA.
So, is it worth it?
