This is my projected stats by the end of next semester (spring 2018)
Year in school: 5th year of undergrad
State of residence/race: California and Asian ORM
Cumulative GPA: 3.4 Strong yearly cGPA upward trend: 2.96->2.46->3.57->3.90->4.0
Science GPA: 3.1-3.2 (I'm unsure which engineering course gets classified in BCPM)
MCAT Scores: 520
Research – 1 poster, 4th author publication, possibly another pub and poster coming soon (1000 hours)
Volunteering (clinical) – 900-1000 hours (not paid of course)
Physician shadowing – 100 hours of surgery/primary care
Non-clinical volunteering - 200 hours of TA/tutor for fellow undergraduate (not paid of course)
Leadership - 200 hours of Vice-President in Biomedical Engineering Society
Extracurricular activities - Unique hobby of modeling, texturing, rigging and animating 3D models
Major: Bio-Medical Engineering
Letter of Rec: I'm unsure if I can get stellar LOR, but I'm certain at least it'll be decent or average.
Personal Statement: Haven't started but hopefully it'll be appealing to Adcom
Some other notes worth mentioning
-I don't really suggest going for post-bacc, my gpa won't improve by much because I have so many units.
-I really like California and would greatly prefer staying here, but I know the famous "beggy cant be choosy".
-Is there anything else I can do to better my chances?
*Please don't quote!*
