Hi everyone, I am submitting my application next week and would like help on choosing schools!
I am mainly worried about my GPA.

Your chances are not great to be honest. Your GPA is lacking. But your DAT, arguably, is also somewhat lacking. Not sure if it's because of availability of good study guides, but I have seen too many people who have 21~23 AA. I "think" average DAT of matriculants is around 21~22AA these days. If you're lacking in one area, you have to make up in other areas. But I think if you apply very broadly, you might be able to score few interviews.

I would add UDM, UNE, and NSU at least. Probably the new one as well. I think it's called North State California or something. Also, NYU and USC if you're desperate.

You say you are a minority so could you give us more information about your outreach to SNDA chapters and NDA members? Is there anything about your background that we should know about?

I am Black, I haven't reached out to SNDA chapters but I did attend Howard University's impression day this year. I was raised in a low-income single parent household.

If you could do some checking for SNDA student officer leaders and ASDA student leaders at the schools of interest, you can get a lot of insight into the amount of support for student success and how your upbringing is valued. That should help the chances that you can be as strong as you can with the schools you want to go to.
