I'm applying for entering class of 2011. I haven't recieved my MCAT score yet, but I'm going to assume worst case scenario. What options do I have? I am planning on getting EMT certified this year (trying to get in the class right now, so this may fall through). I'm getting my degree in Biochemistry. My amcas gpa is a 3.4.
I've thought of a few ideas, but I'm wondering if there are better options out there.
Option #1)
For Summer 2011: Study for MCAT and retake
Fall 2011-Spring 2012: Take some more undergrad classes to boost my bcpm gpa like business calculus, anatomy, physiology, and anything else that will help with the gpa. Work as an EMT (if I become certified) while I continue volunteering.
Option #2)
For summer 2011: Study for MCAT and retake
After summer: Get a job with my degree, continue volunteering, work as an EMT (if I become certified). Save up for a volunteer trip to 3rd world country
What are my other options?
