I'm sure I am just complaining but it seems like everybody is getting interviews, that have lower stats than me. There is one friend of mine that has an interview at 4 schools and his gpa and DAT score are lower than mine. I know quite a few people that have interviews at NOVA with way lower stats than me. I want to know what in the world they are even looking at. It upsets me when I worked my @$$ off to get a 3.6 gpa and 20 on the DAT and it has done nothing for me. What do you guys think? I submitted my application on May 30

So far, I didnt get an interview from NOVA either🙁

I am very surpised that you wouldn't have an interview. I would call/email and try to find out. However, it is important to have good test scores and GPA but stats aren't everything... they're just numbers. Some schools really want to see extracurriculars, community service, dental experience, research, etc. If you have these, try to contact them. Most schools are honest with your applications as far as what's good, what needs work, and so forth. I am surprised you wouldn't have an interview, especially based on your application submission. I wouldn't worry too much yet... September interview or November, nobody gets accepted until December 1st. I had a friend who made a 22 on his DAT submitted in July and all his interviews were October and November, and he got accepted to 4 schools. So don't worry. You have a great GPA and strong DAT scores. Good Luck to you!

They want a diverse class...people with different backgrounds and/or unique experiences. I have a few interesting details that I know few to none share with me. My stats are not great, yet I am receiving quite a few interviews. Some people make the choice to sit and stare into textbooks all day long and score 4.0's and some, like other posters have noted, may choose to travel or partake in some unique community service, etc, etc, etc. Not that the two are necessarily independent of one another, but just find something unique to yourself and elaborate on it in your application. Stand out from the crowds. Good luck.

nova is hard to get in touch with, but i would shoot off an email and then call until i got in touch with someone or until my email was answered. i wouldn't get all defensive and act like ---why the hell haven't i gotten an interview? --- i would confirm that they have all of the necessary materials to review your application and then inquire as to when you should expect to hear about the review of your application for interview consideration

I would also just hang in there if I were you. If its Nova I would call them, if its others that start the process later, than chill.

I agree though, waiting to hear from a school after others have an invite is torture!

I have nice stats, but for some reason a certain school has been ignoring me. Frustrating.

Where have you applied?
