hey guys,
i have kaplan and princeton study material plus I have already signed up for the aamc online study course. do you think it will be worth it to buy the berckely study material. also can any one tell me about the exam crackers 1001. i keep hearing about them but no one is explaining what they are. thanks alot guys, i find this site extraordinary. by the way doctora foxy when ever you come down to miami give me a call we can go dancing. hehe.

1001 books have 1001 questions and answers in various topics. I've personally used the ochem and physics. Most people love the physics and not so much the ochem, but for me it was the other way around. It might be because I was stronger in physics and weaker in ochem to begin with.

The questions aren't like the MCAT, but they are designed (I think) to be a drill so that you get the important concepts into your head. Also, they set up some questions so that you don't really know the answer, but you are forced to use process of elimination, or other strategies to get at the right answer. Pretty slick.

I personally would recommend them, but your mileage may vary.

The Berkeley Review practice exams were for the most part pretty helpful. The format is not exactly like the MCAT but it's pretty close... close enough. What was good about it was that the questions were a little tougher, so it forced me to learn the material just a litter bit more in depth. (By the way I'm selling 5 berkeley review full length exams for $10 each <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" /> )

From what I hear, the Berkeley stuff is overpriced and not worth the money. I hear that the Examkrackers review books is really good. The only 1001 books worth using are the Gen. Chem and the Physics, the Organic is not too great. They are supposed to come out with a 101 passages for the VR section but it has not been published yet but they are rushing to get that out before the August MCAT. The EK Audio Osmosis CDs are supposedly pretty good too.

A good book to use for Physics is the one published by Nova. Other than that, study the hell out of those Princeton books and use the Kaplan books as door stops and paper weights...but you may have already heard this stuff.

Also look in the MCAT discussion forum for more.

damn, solid is LAYIN IT DOWN. you've been doing your research kidd.

i'd buy those cracka-ass cracka books, apocalypse. but i wouldn't overburden myself with too many options/choices. one or two good sources is all you need. ditto as far as the kaplan books. i slickishly inserted them into the books stacks at my college library...color coded to match the journals..bio here, physics there..very nice. other than using them for fun games like that..those kaplan books are a total waste of VALUABLE time.

WAR Kaplan, WAR Audio Osmosis CDs
