Hi,
I am thinking of joining the Navy via the Direct Accession route after completing primary care residency. I have read in the Veteran's Benefits forum that as long as you have 36 months of AD service post 9/11 you can get full GI bill benefits. Are there any other requirements/obligations/ pitfalls I should be aware of ( duty length or otherwise) so that I can avail my self of full post 911 GI Bill benefits once I separate from the Navy after my AD commitment? I intend to use the GI Bill benefits for myself and will not pass it on to a dependent.
Thank you for your assistance.
