what are the requirements for vet school

hi everybody i dont know if anybody put up this thread before but what are the requirements for vet school. i know that you need to take the MCAt but what about GPA CALC. and so on im thinking to apply for vet school also

Um, you really need to search the forums first and see what specific info you still need. All vet schools have slightly different requirements, so you should go to the websites of the schools you are particularly interested in.

Also, the vast majority of vets schools do *not* use the MCAT. Some will accept it in place of the GRE, but most people take the GRE even if they also took the MCAT b/c you're likely to be in a better percentile. There are several threads on this topic as well.

Actually most schools don't require and won't accept the MCAT, only the GRE. All schools have their own requirements, and most accept applications through VMCAS. Take a look at https://www.vmcas.org/ (there are links to more info) and the parent site: http://www.aavmc.org/
There are are also a couple of schools that use their own application.
Either way, the deadline for VMCAS is the first business day of October, though some schools allow submission of supplementals at later dates.

When you say that you are thinking of applying to vet school also, does that mean you applying to med/dent school and vet school is your backup plan or something?
