Isn't that a bit late in the cycle? It puzzles me because I figure the schools would mostly have filled their class and if not, already have a substantial alternate list by March or so.

Seeking some past wisdom about these late interviews and their role in the admissions cycle

Just out of curiousity...

thx

I'd say it depends on the school....if its BU or NYU, then I say you have a great chance, because many people turn those schools down and they keep on going until they fill their class...however, if its a school like Tufts, I would say its slim, because they have the ability to fill up their class much quicker....

I know from friends that UDM has a reputation of interviewing and accepting Canadian students late in the cycle (April-August)....so I suggest that fellow Canadians who applied to UDM should not give up hope, cause your chances of getting in are still very good!

I'm from Canada and I got my invitation for an interview in mid-late January. When my friend called UDM in mid January, they said the class is not even 1/2 full. So....don't worry too much if you haven't heard from them. It's probably a good sign (if they don't want you, they would have sent you a rejection letter). Good luck ppl!
