3. Hampton University School of Pharmacy
4. Howard University School of Pharmacy
5. Florida Agricultural & Mechanical Univ School of Pharmacy

I hear that Howard is on probation. Everything is a mess. I would suggest against applying there...

I heard Shenandoah is a good school to apply for minorities because they desperately want diversity :p

Well, you may have noticed those are schools located in California and my top three schools are in northern Cali. This is because I'm from the bay area and I would prefer schools closer to home. I'm not applying to any out of state schools, only if I don't get accepted next year.

Here's where I find the smartest students around the country....
1) Wisconsin
2) Ohio State
3) Kentucky
4) Pittsburgh
5) Texas

I can't include WVU because I know everyone and the facade of prestige has worn off. You know...

Why not applying to more schools? You will waste another year if you don't get in any school in CA. There's no guarantee you will get accepted to CA schools if you reapply next year.

1-5) Any school I get in to.

Exactly right. What you will find out is that all that really matters is getting that Pharm. D. It's what you do AFTER school that really establishes your credentials.

yea, im from cali too, so have a decent idea of all the schools. just surprised ucsf is #3 considering it's a really good school and tuition would be lower than say touro (i assume uop is #1 cuz its 3 yrs?). and then ucsd #6 was a shock to me too.

Mine are:

1. Virginia Commonwealth
2. LECOM
3. Temple
4. MCPHS
5. Temple
6. Rutgers
7. NOVA

Sorry for the late reply there!!
I go to UMCP :) I took the June PCAT and I've been like a cat. I pounce at the mailbox once the mailman walks by haha. I do hope they come sooner, so I know if I can apply early decision to MD, or take the Oct. PCAT. What about you?

1) VCU
2) Auburn
3) UF
4) Mercer
5) South

....Kinda skewed since being in-state for VCU, it was also the easiest for me to get into.....the Auburn/UF choices were more trying to be closer to my boyfriend

Well, since Illinois only has 3 pharmacy schools, I only have 3 options. Out of state is wayyy to expensive, I cannot really afford that.

1) Midwestern university in Downers Grove
2)UIC
.
.
.
.
.
3)last resort: SIUe

1. UCSF
2. U of Washington
3. USC
4. UCSD
5. UIC, if I decide to apply there

I'm just hoping I can get into UW at least, I'd be only semi-excited to head back to USC and LA if I got into there (since it's expensive to live there and I'd have to get a car with EXPENSIVE insurance).

Mine were:
1. USN
2. Midwestern
3. USC
4. Madison (this would have probably been my 1st or 2nd choice if my husband would have wanted to move to Wisconsin...home sweet home )

1. ACP
2. LECOM
3. Midwestern-glendale
4. Pacific U
5. UACP

Probably going to apply to a 4 years school as a backup to those three year ones. :)

UCSF
UM Ann Arbor
UCSD
USC
UW Madison

I believe you have to use thier common application and specify pharmacy and put your recommendation letters in there. Then I think they will probably send the supplemental application.

I think they don't have a pharmacy application because they are brand new and not set up yet. Im not sure though cause Im not done with my pre-reqs yet so hopefully when I apply they will be more established.

Call them today they are open til 4pm eastern 585-385-8064

Hey Cheburashka,

I'm applying to those two schools next year...how was the application process for those schools? Any suggestions? I'm going to be graduating next year so yeah, it's going to be stressful this summer (not really since it's only two schools but still...) Thanks...:):):)

I am graduating this year so I am going through right now what you will be next year. Application process - I pretty put all my effort into UCSF application and half assed the UCSD one within the last 2 days of the deadline. UCSF supp is much harder and time consuming with essay-type questions whereas UCSD is more straight forward. However, both supps have totally different questions so you can't really use the ones you asnwered for one for another. UCSF one also has its own personal statement - shorter than the one for pharmcas though.

My suggestion is start writing you stuff early, do not wait for fall.

1) UCSF
2) UOP
3) Pacific (Oregon)
4) UCSD
5) USC
6) Any other CA Pharmacy school
