I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but I looked around for it and couldn't find another topic like it.
I'm curious as to what other pre-medical students are taking this upcoming semester/quarter. I am entering my second semester in my freshman year and these are my courses:

    General Chem I w/Lab
    Biology II w/Lab
    Trigonometry (pre-req for calculus)
    Elementary Spanish I
    English Composition II

    17 credit hours.

    a/p
    calc
    french 2
    psych
    writing

    17 credits

french may get cancelled again, though. bastards.

thank god for online classes, otherwise i'd make no progress.

Physiology II 2XX - it's full year, so this is just the second half
Botany 3XX - botany is lame but this is drug plants, I love the prof and I've only heard good things about the course
Chemistry 2XX - intro to quantum mechanics or something
Engl 2XX - fiction literature interpretation or something along those lines
Physics 2XX - intro to theoretical physics; looks solid & no lab!

15 credit hours.. chemistry has a 4hr lab but my school doesn't separate labs from lectures like my other university did in the US =( so that course is only worth 3 credits even though it will consume 7hrs a week.

...There is something else I'm forgetting. Anyway, it will be either 16.5 or 20.5 credits. No, these are not the actual course titles.

I noticed that all of you have 5 courses and under 20 credits. This is only possible at my university if one takes music performance (or something like that) for credit...everything else but some seminars are 4 credits. Just out of curiosity, how many credits are each of your classes?

All courses are my university are worth 3 credits, regardless of lab components or if they are taught on more than three days. The only exception is made for engineering students, who can sometimes earn 3.5 or 4 credits for a course.

5 courses = 15 credits is the maximum allowable courseload at my university.
You can take 6 courses = 18 credits with special permission.
Absolutely no one would ever be granted the okay for more though. 20 credit semesters are unique to america =p

Three economics classes and managerial accounting. Not quite sure what I'll be taking yet as far as economics classes goes, my major gives me a lot of flexibility in which classes I take that count, and I'm not yet sure what will conflict with my medic program since I need to be in medic lecture from 9 am - 6 pm on T/F. Either way they'll all be 4 unit classes so 16 units total, nothing too strenuous.
