What do i do next????!!!!

I really need help here.
I am a 2nd year Dental Student in Ghana and the educational system is such that
we pursue Human Biology for 3 yrs, get BSc in HB, then continue for clinical studies
at a teaching hospital.
I am planning on taking the DAT for admission into a dental school in USA after my HB
program. I did some internship during the summer and plan on taking another in the UK nxt summer. However my these are my problems;
1) Do the dental schools give preference to international students who studied in USA
those who studied in their home country?
2) When should I take the DAT?. I will like to attend dental school the year I graduate.
Is it possible to take it in my third (final) year and go to school the nxt yr (supposed to be my forth year)?
