I took a 2 credit hours Honors Research for my thesis and then I decided to change advisor. My former advisor gave me a C despite all the work I did. My academic advisor said he shouldn't give me that grade. What should I do? Should I just leave it like that or ask him to change to a S/U?

See what you can do by the registrar's standards. At UM, there arre dates in which you MUST change from pass/fail to regular grading (or vice versa) or else you're stuck.

Is it on your transcript, or just the grade passed onto your new advisor--that isn't prinnted anywhere on your transcript.

Talk to the dean

Just be forewarned that the dean may just say tough cookies... which I think is most likely. Sorry :(
