But a 50% reduction in ventilated patients should be a cause for celebration. Why doesn't the media report on that? They only report on numbers designed to instill the maximum terror in the population.
I agree, if they’re all extubated and doing well. If the intubated patient numbers went down because they’re all dead...
I feel for NYC. The intubate early strategy may have contributed to their poor outcomes. Some of our first covid patients are still on the vent 8 weeks later. Implementing HFNC in our ED was a game changer, thankfully.
