Hi,
This might be a stupid question for most of you but so far I haven't seen anyone mentioning this, so I have to ask. How many question on each section can you miss and still get like a 14? and how about a 13? and a 12? I know it depends on everybody else's result, but I'm just looking for rough numbers.

Thank you

It varies notably by section. In verbal you need a perfect score, basically. I don't have numbers for the others, but you don't need a perfect score on them.

No, a perfect score in any section (including verbal as of April 03) would be a 15, so you don't need that. =)

I think what the OP is trying to find out is how many actual questions can you possibly miss in verbal, and due to the curve still get a perfect score of 15..please do not tell me you actually need to get them ALL correct to achieve this. Aghhhh! Of course with the new verbal with five less questions I think the curve will not be as generous, oh well, just keep chugging away.

Forgot they fixed that. I took the MCAT when the highest you could get was 13-15 rather than a single score for verbal. Really sucked!

how coudl that really suck? u woulnt have been happy or u were not happy with a 13-15, the top score is the top score.. good grief

It's all relative to how the fellow test population performs. Generally, from the statistics, it appears as if you need to be >99%ile to snag a 14.

For the Physical you can miss about 2 and get a 14 on the bio you can only miss 1 and still get a 14.............

That does not sound right, at least not what TPR is stating. I thought it was more than that...anyone know for sure? Maybe I am deluding myself but I thought that you could miss like 10 and still get a good score.

Missing Ten is a good score but definately not a 14...missing ten would proabably put you in th 12 range
