In the past few months, I have found myself thinking a lot about the future. I think I'm doing this because next year I start my voyage at ICO and this summer I'm getting married. I decided I want to hear what you all see for yourselves in say 10 years.

My vision:
In ten years I will be living back in Oshkosh (home town). My wife and I will have one child and another on the way. We will have a home on the lake and a hot tub on the deck. My father will finally be fully retired after 5 years of working part-time at our office. I will have hired a new OD to replace my father (perhaps Eyegirl) and will have plans on the horizen to expand the office to a Eye Clinc. We would have a few ODs and a couple ophth. If it all works out, we could hire a DDS and do the whole face in an 1.5 hours, j/k.

Just a small look into my crystal ball.

What do you see?

Eyegirl's vision:

First of all, rpames, I would LOVE to practice with you. Keep me in mind....FOR REAL!!!

Other than that, I'd still be married, with a whole bunch of cats (although not enough to be a crazy cat lady) I don't think I'll ever have kids because my parents are awful people and I'm half of each of them. My husband doesn't want kids at all. I'll have a nice house (older, possibly Victorian) and will finally be able to shop the way I like to shop. And I will have a cute, trendy car (perhaps an electric beetle?) I'll have gotten through my residency in low vision and so in addition to the practice I share with other OD's, etc... (ahem...rpames) I will do consulting for low vision in the area. I hope to have paid off SOME of my loans.

Luv,
Eyegirl

Wow,
Eyegirl 2k7 and rpames I hope you're dreams and aspirations in life come your way as you envision them. Know however, what you plan in life doesn't always work that way. In this world, things can change real fast from one moment to the next. Keep the faith and hope both of your futures becomes reality one day.

When I post something optimistic, I'd like, just for once for someone not to pee on my parade.

Hey rpames,
Thanks for the ICO housing info. Can you keep that page up for a couple of weeks? I'd appreciate it. You rock.

PS check out my signature.
