hey guys, applying for dental school right now.

Under english/writing pre-reqs, it says minimum of 3 semester hours/4 quarter hours, what does that even mean?

I've taken 2 quarters (60 hrs per quarter) of lower div critical reading/writing, which were 5.00 credits each. both A's.

Somehow I feel like I'm falling short and I want to double check.

It means you only needed to take one English course. Credit hours are essentially the number of hours scheduled per week for a course. In the US, 3.00 credit hours in a 16-week semester is the weight of a standard lecture or seminar course, which is equivalent to 4.00 credit hours in a 12-week quarter.

Your courses were more 25% more intensive than what is considered standard, so after taking two courses, you now have two-and-a-half times the requisite number of credits.
