What even is the "SDN Ranking"?

Hi all,

under Resources and School ranking, you'll find an SDN ranking for each allopathic medical school. While I appreciate SDN's input, what exactly does it mean? Does anyone have any clue of what their rubric is to rate a school a 5 vs a 1? Thanks!!
