Hopefully this post doesn't come across as too neurotic. I've been killing it as far as academics go my first two years. Now, as a junior simultaneously studying for the MCAT, I may get an A- in one of my language classes, and these junior year semesters would be the most recent grades on my transcript come my application cycle next year. Is this considered a negative trend since I have technically been only getting A's so far? What is the threshold for a negative trend?
As -> Cs/Ds or Fs.

A 4.0 GPA is like virginity. There comes a time to lose it.

An A- amongst a sea of As is not a downward trend, don't worry. A downward trend is something like:
Freshman Year: 3.9
Sophomore Year: 3.5
Junior Year: 3.3

Going from 4.0 to 3.9x really won't be an issue.

If I'm not mistaken, it also goes by the grades you get... I mean all A's and maybe a B+ in one class your junior or senior year would bring your GPA down considering a B+ is a 3.3, but that's not really a downward trend ... even though technically your GPA could be lower haha
