My top choice would have to be: using 2 months of my summer prior to freshman year to do nothing but work towards recovery from a serious knee injury sustained during training camp. Finally being invited to return to my college soccer team in the fall. In the third game of my first season I blew out my ankle 🙁. However, I recovered to make it back to the NCAA finals and actually was able to play 2 of those games as a freshman. Although we lost in the semis, I remember working soo hard to get there that year, and being there as a rookie made it so special - the excitement of finally being that close to your dreams. Looking back at those days, training 3 hours a day or more, just made me realize even further that you can do anything if you work hard.
