I'm just curious what classes exactly will be calculated into my science GPA. Someone told me all math and biological sciences but that it depends on the course code. They said the course code had to be the basic BIOL, PHYS,CHEM, MATH codes. Does this mean that all my Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, will not count since they have KINE for kinesiology as the code and Stats won't count because it's coded RESM? Very confusing this science GPA thing.

Anyone who has done apps already, what were you able to enter as science classes for you science GPA?

Blessings,
Bodyworksweety ;)

All science related courses, including Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, etc are considered part of your science GPA. On the application they are under the category of "Other Science". If my memory serves me right, math courses did NOT count as science...

I think it's just Physics, Bio, Chem, Math (don't know which one). When you submit primary app, they'll calculate this for you. Don't worry about it.

For AACOMAS/DO schools MATH is NOT in science GPA for DO schools. Neither is statistics. The list below is included in the HELP tab of the AACOMAS application when you enter your course work. The subjects in Science GPA are in the categories of Biochem, Biology, Inorganic Chemistry(which include Ochem), Other Science, and Physics

I think there was a post where an applicant was able to put classes such as biopsychology as biology. It is up to the discretion of whoever looks over your application to decide if may be counted as Science although in a nonscience category.

As was said previously: this all will be figured out for you once you submit.
