i'm majoring in engineering...do they look at overall GPA or just sciences/premed courses GPA
what gpa do medical schools look at?

Both. You don't want them to be too different, because that just looks odd.
Overall GPA and BCMP GPA both matter (BCMP= Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Physics. No other science courses count)
