What happens after I assign a LOR?

I have just assigned my LORs to the programs I am applying for. I applied without any LOR two days ago as they were not ready. Anyway, How ERAS works? Will the programs get notified automatically or what happens?

Yes it updates automatically.

I googled it and I found that every thing is no online. Programs don't download the applications anymore. They filter their lists online. So next time they work on their list, my LORs will be there.
