More info on this can be found here:

There's a lot of misinformation out there right now and my school said in an email today that they haven't even heard of this happening or been informed by Prometric that this was a possibility, but then again, my school loves to lie to our faces via email, so idk who to trust.

In the reddit thread I shared above, it seems that some people have received info on this matter from their school and others have not, so I just wanted to hear from other med students with similar concerns about possibly having their May or June Step 1/2 exams cancelled.

Have there been any communication from your schools on this?

Our school acknowledged hearing about it but said that they were told that ~50% of the tests prometric administers are considered by them to be
'essential', and medical licensing exams are considered essential exams and would be given priority. However, even they didn't sound super confident, so I don't think anyone really knows. Some people have reported being told something similar, and others have said their schools said we will be affected.

Step 2 CK is already booked out for months in several area codes I just checked. I'm guessing Step 1 is booked out even further. If they do cancel half the May and June dates, that's going to mean 16-20 weeks of Dedicated for many people. There will legit be hundreds of folks who started full time studying in February-March and can't test until July-August.

Y I K E S.

Yup. That's what I'm afraid of, not being able to reschedule for months on end. What an absolute mess.
