i'll start living in nyc next month but haven't yet found a place yet
still waiting for my amcas to be verified

should i contact them after i found a place to live in nyc?
or should i just notify individual schools?

what if my secondaries are sent to my home in canada?

Don't post offices in canada do forwarding mail when you move? Although it would take a long time, its something you should probably do while you update your amcas, which could take anywhere up to 3 weeks to change.

It's a non-issue until you find a new address. When you have a new address first forward your mail to the new one and change your address through AMCAS. Then contact the individual schools with your new information.

I'm in a similar situation. I put my parent's address on my AMCAS, but will likely put my new address on my secondaries. I would update your AMCAS once you get an address, or get a P.O. Box.

It's not a big deal at all. I went home after graduation, thus my address clearly changed. You just go into AMCAS and update it again. It has nothing to do with your verification. They don't re-verify you, because the stuff they verify can't be changed once you submit. Schools get weekly updates about addresses and such all year, so unless a school specifically asks that you notify them directly you don't need to deal with telling every single school you applied to that you moved.
