what is air force pharmacy like?

i am thinking of joining the military, air force specifically to become a pharmacist. but what role will i have? will i be in a hospital doing inpatient/acute care or will i be at an ambulatory clinic, or will i be doing outpatient/retail type work, better yet, can i choose what i want to do?

i know air force requires a residency for recent pharmD grads but navy requires 2-3 years work experience.

anyone in the military, not just air force, willing to tell me what type of area (s)he works in as a pharmacist?

It's very competitive to do afp ~ as they require mostly MDs, dentists ,...etc (very limited pharmacy positions)
