WHAT IS AN "OPEN LABEL STUDY?" IN CLINICAL RESEARCH

    Simple question: what is an open label study as opposed to double-blind study?

    in a drug trial, a double blind study is one in which neither the investigator nor the subject knows whether they are receiving drug or placebo...whereas an open label study it is known to all parties what the research subject is taking.
