What is fast/slow phase nystagmus?

Web md isn't working now, and my roomate borrowed my brs neuroanatomy. So all I've got is high-yield neuro and it doesn't explain vestibular or postrotatory fast/slow phase nystagmus very well. Can any break this down to me, like I'm a 3 year old?
