What is going on with UF?

Hi all, I don't know if there is a thread here specifically for UF...but I have some concerns, and I wonder if anyone else is in a similar situation.

I interviewed at UF in October, and I was waitlisted soon after. Recently I received a letter saying that I am at an alternate list status. Does anyone know if these are the same waitlists? Have people been rejected off a waitlist and others put on an alternate list? Does anyone know how the alternate list movement usually is at UF? Hope someone knows more than me or any other useful information about UF 😕

hey jenn,

i think i know the deal with UF, but im not positive. so everyone who doesn't get in immediately after their interview is put on "hold." then in early april i think or sometime around then they make up an alternate list while rejecting all the other interviewees. generally, people on the alternate list have a decent shot at getting accepted there with movement starting pretty soon. if you really want to go there, i'd write a letter or something. good luck!!
