I see this in topscore, what is it?

I can't find it anywhere

What is a furanoside? what does the hexa mean?

I also have another question,
How many different tripeptides can be formed from 1 alanine and 2 valine?

the answer in topscore is 3, but how do they get that?
If it was me in math, I would say 3! = 6

A-V-V, V-A-V, V-V-A would be the only ways you can put those 2 AA's together.

Furanose is a 5 membered ring similar to glucose. Look up glycoside formation you may find your answer there.

How about this?

AAV
AVV
AVA
VAV
VAA
VVA

isnt it six, how is it 3?
please explain?

In the initial post you said 1 alanine and 2 valine, how are you getting thr once highlighted!?

If you see the problem, then you will know why it is 3!

It is a tripeptide so 3 amino acids, so 3 to the power of 1 (3^1) = 3. Because you only have ala ang val, so one amino acid differense.
Secondly, Ketohexofuranoside (not ketohexafuranoside) is a 6 compound containing 6 carbon ketose sugar, which is in a ring conformation, probably with a nucleoside component attached to it (like part of a DNA base). Which question was it in?

it's in the orgo section of test 2 on topscore.

what do they mean by a "non-reducing sugar"?

If this was a QR question I would say 3 diff tripeptides.

If a bio quiestion I would say 6 tripeptides, because you have to consider which is the N-terminus and which is the C-terminus. '(N)AVV(C)' is not the same as '(N)VVA(C)'
