There must be some legal reason for the match being able to exist. In no other industry, outside of the congressionally sanctioned sports monopolies, can all the employers collude together in this manner.

Well, it's supposed to be a non-profit organization. So it's not really a monopoly... at least, not any more than the people who administer the MCAT and the SAT... =/
