Has anyone received any information from them other than the fact that your app has been processed successfully and is ready for transmission/was transmitted?

My girlfriend has had her app in since first week in June and e-mailed AMCAS like a week and a half ago and still no response as to why there are no transmission dates showing up next to the schools she's applying too even though the application has long been finished, processed and transmitted.

I've noticed AMCAS has removed all live phone support like I used last year when applying.

If they are going to stop phone service then they sure as hell better get their crap together on a e-mail system that makes sure questions and problems are looked after in a timely manner.

We all know timing is everything in this process.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I THINK that the trasmission of apps is school by school.
So monday amcas said "we have ten thousand apps. Lets seend all of the harvard ones to harvard (three hours later) lets send the FSU ones to FSU...." and so on.....

On my app Harvard UM, FSU and UAB have been sent and no others.....on the transmission thread here onther people applying to those schools have had theris transmited. No other schools that other people have said have been trasmitted were ones that I appied to. So it seems they are doing it school by school not app by app. make sure that you dont see one of your schools on the transmission thread.

There is still live phone support. You need to call (202) 828-0600. They do not respond to email. I had a problem that was not resolved till I called, all the emails got automatic replies that they should be resent. Prepare to wait over 20 minutes to speak to someone however.

Maoeris is right. I called AMCAS and was able to speak with someone...after being on hold for ~15 minutes. Email did not work.

Hightrump is right too...transmission is school by school. At this point, it is out of your hands for the time-being.

Patience my friend...mid july is still very early in the process....
