In short, I got a Blackberry 8800 from ebay which was working perfectly until about a week ago. For some reason all of a sudden, the thing only gets service in certain areas of the city (Honolulu). At my house, the phone alternates between searching for a network, finding a network, and then losing the signal again. When it does find a network, most of the time it says GSM instead of the proper edge that it is supposed to connect to. Even though it says GSM, I should be able to make calls and send texts, however I can't now. The phone is unlocked and I have wiped it previously to get rid of add on applications. Any ideas anyone?
