do you want or planning on to be?
Pediatrician or pediatric oncologist.
trauma or emergency med. I gotta have the rush that accompanies something like this. Have thought about surgery too.
trauma surgery, ER or OR. I have worked in ER for 6 months and love it.
pediatrician or neonatologist
for now anyway...
I know it's either going to be neurology, emergency medicine or oncology.
sports medicine or orthopedic surgery
Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, or Neurology.
Another vote for psychiatry/neuropsychiatry.
Radiology (if I can get a residency)
Emergency Medicine (if I can reconcile all of the info. posted at the "Residencies/Rotations" forum below)
Internal Medicine (if I can dispel the rumor that it's for all the grads who couldn't get anything else).
Dermatology (if I finish first in my class and kiss some serious booty).
I would also love to be a derm, but geez, what is it...35 spots a year? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
Pediatrician or Child Psychiatrist
dermatology, ob/gyn, peds, internal medicine ???
Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgeon or a General Cardiologist with a fellowship later on. <img border="0" alt="[Lovey]" title="" src="graemlins/lovey.gif" /> I love the heart so much!

Endocrinologist, cardiologist, or pathologist
Rads, ENT, Ortho, EM.

Radiology, pathology, or neurology. Maybe.
Obstetrics or hematology/oncology, I think.

dream doc job: ophthalmology all the way!
A primary care physician, of course. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
FM, EM, Nephrology... speaking of which, I haven't seen any posts on this thread by future nephrologists. What gives?
Wow, I'm surprised by the amount of people here that want to become emergency medicine docs. I think we might just meet the quota required in the next several years if this trend keeps on going! I hope so too, since we've currently got a shortage of emergency docs!
I'm pretty much like a lot of the people here though...not quite sure, though I do have some ideas. Of course, I'm a fickle person; maybe this'll all change when I'm done with pre-med, and maybe change again in my 3rd and 4th years of medical school. I hope it doesn't change when I'm finished with residency or years down the road while I'm still in practice.
For now, I've got (in no particular order):
Family Practice, Medical Genetics, Preventive Medicine, Allergy/Immunology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and like Nylee, I'm definitely not going into surgery! Though a pre-med friend of mine is, specifically neurosurgery.
ob/gyn or dx rad
What does an OR stand for?
OR=Operating room? Maybe.
o r you? rushmore was such a funny movie (as you can tell from that genius line)
