I'm applying to "balanced" programs--meaning they're ranked a "4" or "5" in the Insider's Guide scales. I'm just wondering what others discussed in their personal statements for these schools. Do these schools want you to equally discuss your interests in research and clinical work?

I would still stay slightly biased towards research. Although you want to communicate all of your relevant work in your statement. It's important that they know about your clinical experience as well. Having both really helps you look like a strong candidate!
