    Hi!
    :
:1) I just want to know what you, as a doctor, think makes
:medicine unique. For example, as doctor you help people but so
:hungover:o nurses. Or medicine requires a lot of knowledge but so does
    :engineering.
    :
:I hope you get my point.
    :
:2) What sort of response do medical schools expect from the
:question, "What do you have to offer to our medical program?"
    :
: This question throws me off. Please help.
    :
:Thanks and I can't wait to hear from you soon.

As a doctor, one gets to combine compassion and satisfaction of
intellectual curiosity like no other field. In no other field is
there the mergence of science, art, and compassion.

A nurse helps people, but does not make the calls. He or she is
not in charge and can only follow orders.

An engineer is smart, but his/her field does not allow the
    hands-on interaction with people.

Only as a doctor does one get to be a teacher, counselor, friend,
advocate, protector, and healer all at the same time.

Hope this helps and I welcome any more replies!

Autonomy, altruism, and science. And tinkering with the coolest machine in the universe - the human body.

(and no, you can't use it. It's mine. MINE! )

    1) Being a doctor allows you to
    a. Feel like a Saint
    b. Score cash and hoes
    c. Satisfy your nerdy needs
    d. Make your parents can look good in front of their friends or relatives
    e. Obtain prestige and fame
    f. And realize your wildest fantasies involving cadavers.

    2. Whatever unique to you.
