Nah..I m lazy. I was scared at the thought of filling out more secondaries. Besides, I m pretty sure that I will stay instate.

Applying to all schools in NY and PA. Thats about 18. Main priority is to stay as close to NYC as possible, so I can be near my family :)

whats your beef with SIU? just wondering.

I got into a bunch of the IL schools (Rush, UIC etc.)and found that SIU had the happiest students, a great price (no 220 g'sin debt), and no boring lectures but rather innovative PBL (Problem Based Learning), and its small (70 students, so you get attention), plus we start working with a specialist of our choice every other week from the first year. I thought it was going to be all rural health and stuff (I am a city girl and lived out east for some time), but the residencies are not all primary care like i assumed. The location isnt the best, but neither are the UIC campuses outside chicago.

Anyways, I would apply if i were you (the app is only like 50 bucks) just to check out the school. It can't hurt. We need more desis in the house there!

I heard they give preference to students from Central Illinois. I am from Cook County. Wouldn't help my chances of getting in.. :( I will check out their website today, and try to find more details. Do you have their Match List?

I am applying to MSTP programs in biomed eng all over the country for a total of 20 schools. I would love to stay in California though!
