What medications cause/escalate pain and damage to teeth, gums, and gumline? Also what foods or off the counter drugs/medications/vitamins do you think helps keep teeth healthier, stronger, and less suseptible to damage given that one brushes and flosses on a regular basis.

In some rare instances, digitalis may cause unexplainable tooth pain, which can lead to unnecessary treatments such as root canal therapy or extraction.

Can you elaborate about the condition you listed please.

Vinblastine, which is a chemo drug, can cause inexplicable jaw pain. This can sometimes be interpreted as tooth pain.

I don't know the exact mechanism but do know my attendings have pimped us on it multiple times in staff meetings.

bisphosphinates and osteonecrosis are a hot topic these days.

Don't forget the old standby's of tetracyclene and high flouride in little people.
