Hi all. March 15 is the date all amcas schools must have their classes filled. Is this date extended this year because of messed-up amcas? If not, will that mean a lot of movement and decision making on that date? Will there be a bunch of acceptances and rejections coming out around March 15?

According to this thread the date had been pushed back to March 29th. I think most acceptances hae gone out already though, maybe some schools will have another batch before this date

so does that mean that everyone who's interviewing in April is interviewing for a waitlist position?

by the way - what happened to the "preview post" button?

For example, Lets say Med School X has offered 150 acceptances to date, but 50 people have already declined. Then you would not be interviewing for a wait list spot, and they have already completed their requirement, prior to March 15th. See what I mean? A wait list is just a holding position while "better" applicants make up their minds. Granted, it's better to be on a waitlist at a lower tier med school than an upper tier, because there will be more movement. :) :p

To answer your other question, the preview button was taken away because it took up too much bandwith or something. My question is where is the printer friendly function??
