Hi,

Myself, like many others on the board are really hoping to do well on Step 1. (In my case, I need to do well if I want any shot at matching as my grades are not quite up to par)

I am taking the exam on the 12th of June.

I have two hours a day to devote to USMLE studying, but not during test weeks and not during two weeks in March as I will be taking that time off to vacation. My school gets out in early May and I will have Five weeks to study before the exam.

If you were in my shoes and you had to do well on the exam (My dream score is 245 and I think that is what I need because I am barely top half in my med school) what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Should I try to memorize First Aid?

Should I read review books?

Should I get qbank and just do questions like crazy?

Any advice would be welcome.

PS: I am not a stupid person, I just had a rough second half of first year because I got distracted. First semester was straight A's and second semester was B's and C's. I am doing better this year, and I expect to be solidly top half at the end of the year.
