I didn't know the best place to post this but i definitely thought that some of the nontrad pre-med students could shed light on this.
I am a current 4th year student in the UC system majoring in Bio. I have done fairly well in school, getting involved with research and that other pre-med jazz.
But I'm also of firm belief in practicing medicine wiht a social conscience.
What programs are out there like Teach for America or Peace corp that are good "breaks" or transformative experiences for med students before starting medical school?
