Should i take Physics 1 over the summer or take Orgo1, Physics 1, and Bio 2 at the same time? I would ideally like to work over the summer and not take a summer class.

dont take physics 1 over the summer, take a harder class like Ochem or Bio. Physics 1 isnt that hard (but can be made hard by the professor), and you will want it around when you have a hard load during the year to ease things up just a LITTLE. Its not the easiest class, but its easier then Ochem and Bio

I was able to handle the physics, bio, orgo course load, but I feel like that's possible if you know that one of these three will be easy for you. If you're going to struggle to get through all of them, I would say break it up between the summer and the fall so that you're not overwhelmed and don't risk doing poorly in one of these classes.

I think Orgo and whatever you think is easier (physics or bio) would be good to take in the fall, and take the medium hard one over the summer. If the class is easy to you, put it in the fall that way you'll have some fluff to your classes, and if it is too hard, it will just make your summer miserable. You should be able to get a good idea from your school about whether classes in the summer are easier/harder/the same. With just one class you should still be able to work some over the summer. Three sciences, all with labs, is a lot to do in one semester, but of course, not impossible.

Good luck with whatever you choose!

I took bio, orgo, and physics at the same time, all with labs, and it was a nightmare. My mind just doesn't get physics - that could be part of the problem. I just felt like I didn't have enough time to fully commit to any one subject, let alone to my other two classes. I also had to work part-time, so I suppose it all depends on your situation. I would say if you have the opportunity to take one course over the summer, do it.

It's fine. Nothing a science major hasn't experienced.

I did a post-bacc last year where we took Gen Chem in the summer and then Orgo, Bio, and POhysics during the year (I didn't take any science classes in college). It was a hard year, especially February, March, and April with preparing for MCAT on top of classwork, but it was doable. If you are going to try that, though, stay very very organized in terms of classwork along the way. Good luck

Have you done any doctor shadowing or research? I would reccomend you do this before you just work, but if you need the money then thats understandable (although research does pay pretty well). Since physics was taught so horribly at my school, I would have rather have taken that during the summer. But taking all 3 is doable, you will just really have to stay focused and stay off the XBox 🙂

absolutely not. that's just out of the question.

I'm taking Orgo 1, Bio 2, and Physics 1 all next fall, too.

I would recommend taking physics in the summer, though I did college a long time ago, and doing a part-time volunteer job in a hospital, yes you will need to master physics to a certain degree to do well on the MCAT to get a better shot at medical school, but more importantly at this stage of the game is to get your feet wet a little bit, maybe volunteering in an ER, or at least something that you can participate in consistently in all four years in college, builds your self-esteem and character, and med schools like it too!😎
