Not a question, but an answer. If you cannot or will not relocate to go to med school, you apply only to medical schools that you will be able to attend. Make your application as competitive as possible, if possible for EDP particularly, and apply only to where you could be willing to go. Then you will save yourself money for applications and travel and spare yourself the heartache of being admitted to a school you can’t attend.

I did this both for medical school (with only one acceptable choice at the time) and residency (two acceptable choices at the time) because I was totally committed to remaining in my current location, and here I am attending and satisfied with life. You can do it too, if remaining where you are is a higher priority than being admitted to any medical school at this point in your life. If your priorities shift to be more flexible, you can redjust PRN.
