PS ... Yes I know my avatar rocks. Thanks! 😀

I have to thank someone else though as it was not MY creativity that brought this wholesome picture to light. 😉 If had they not hack into my account when I left my laptop for one second (and out of the love in their heart) I would not have as many complements. So thank you MR. PUSH UP BRA INVENTOR MR. PUSH UP BRA INVENTOR!

this is kind of funny, but you (ppl in general) need to look at tigress's and mshhead's avatar cat faces going back and forth to each one

also note how i said cat faces, and under my avatar it says catface

yeah I mean I knew you were responding to goose but what the heck were you saying? lol

I like the 5000 SPF sunblock guy one. That cracks me everytime.

I paid instate and had a full scholarship (whoo hoo National Merit!) my first time around.

Now I pay instate and have a "loan" from a family member.

👍 Great quote by the way ... Firefly!

well, i pay instate tuition for my postbacc stuff myself (no loans), but i take few enough classes that it's financially inconvenient yet not impossible to pay for it out of my paycheck. so, alas, no microsoft stock from 1993. next year, i'm gonna borrow baby borrow and probably need to go into the private loan thing, too.

i guess i've done all sorts payment schemes. for undergrad, i had scholarships and parents who paid the rest. for law school, it was scholarships and staffords. so, hmm, i don't know how i should vote.

out-of-state tuition - scholarships =(roughly) in-state tuition = what my parents agreed to pay before I even began the college app process

I win! Naturally they're not paying for med school and FAFSA is gonna tell me my parents can pay for nearly all of it! Bring on the interest rates!

I'm with ya.

And just as a side note, people with legacies pay arms and legs to go to college. They don't give a crap if your the son or daughter of an alumni, unless your name is on a library, and that's not cheap.

In-state, out of pocket with my Apple and Microsoft stock money.

HOLLA'

I never said what I did! I went to a private college and paid mostly with scholarship money. The rest I was lucky enough to have my parents cover.

My husband went to the same school and also had scholarship money. But he had to take out loans (federal I think) to pay the rest. He worked for 2.5 years after college and paid off all those loans before starting med school, which is pretty cool.

i went instate the first time...and got a little scholarship money, but the state scholar program and national merit weren't enough to cover it. it was still cheap though.

i paid my post-bac out of pocket on a credit card at a private school.

I checked "in-state" but in reality, I don't pay anything for tuition. I am a professor, so I can take classes for free.

Ok ... so I overheard a few people at school talking about this and it got me curious!

So VOTE FOOLS! 😀

Initially I had a baseball scholarship so I had a free ride. I do not play anymore so I pay instate now.

I feel you. I rowed crew, but then our program was cut because of a Title IX restructuring. No more scholarships for us. Luckily they were able to find some academic ones for me, or else I would have been out some serious money, as I was in a private school.

Student loans from the UK government - then ditched the country and defaulted on my loans. Wondering if I can do the same after med school......(j/k)
