I am not cursing anyone, but I am just interested to know what other people will do if they cannot become a doctor. I will become an archeologist, because I love ancient civilizations lol.

So become an archeologist.

If I fail at this doctoring **** I'll become a PA. If I fail at that, I'll become a nurse. If I fail at that, I'll become a PhD in some random life science.

This is probably different than most pre-med types, but I would like to be a social worker or community organizer.

The two aren't mutually exclusive ;p

Although, you'd probably need an assistant to culture those cells...

PhD in a psychology related field ( The funny thing is if I couldn't get into medical school I probably wont be able to get into a psych program since they are even more competitive. Neh, social psychology and or cognitive science's are such wonderful fields. )

You want to live in a shack for the rest of your life? ;p

Avg. highschool teacher makes 60-70k these days, with summers off. Sounds like a sweet deal to me.

Personally though, I'd have to go with Alaskan bush pilot or Vet.

would get a Phd in anything then become a nurse or PA so that they still have to call me doctor.
They wouldn't have to call you doctor, and it would just confuse the sht out of patients and other docs/nurses. If a PhD carries the Dr. title outside of academia, lab, etc., they are a tool anyways.

This is highly variable depending on location, the places making ~60k are places with extrememly high cost of living and that's not a starting salary. my hometown, starting salary for a new teacher is 19k (granted it's the lowest paying state) my mom's been teaching for over 20 years there makes just shy of 40k and works a second job on her summers off. Just an FYI.

Stick with bushpilot ;-)

Probably law school, however since if I couldn't get into medical school I wouldn't have a high enough GPA for a good law school, I might become a cop.

I have career A.D.D. so it would be hard to decide...PA, nurse, CNA, lawyer, teacher, chiropractor, and on and on the list goes, lol.

NP is a master's level degree.

The DNP requires a few more online classes.

Physician's Assistant. :\ and if not that, probably something with forensics. Perhaps I'll work in a crime lab.

a PA or DPT. I'm interested primarily in pediatrics right now, but if I were a PA I'd probably go into woman's health or emergency medicine. No matter what, I have a hard time picturing not working in healthcare in some way. There are only a couple jobs outside the healthcare field I can ever see myself doing my entire life, those being librarian (appeals to my love of details and organizing things down to the last letter) and phys ed teacher. Gym teachers have the easiest job in the entire world...180 days of work, no grading papers.

Being a doctor is good enough to fulfill my childhood dream. Didn't really have anymore of them.

1. I am afraid of airplanes, let alone space flight :(

2. Not a fan of heroin and shooting myself in the face

3. Danica Patrick would probably murder me in my sleep

I wouldn't mind being Stephen King, though...be all super rich and yet not get recognized/subsequently mobbed just walking down the street.

I would really like to work in healthcare policy anyway, so i guess if I don't go to med school I'll still work through that route.

Me too. America is dying for motivated math/science teachers. And for the record, although it is possible, you would have to be an idiot to expect to make 60-70 grand a year doing it.
It's hard to be motivated teaching stupid kids.
