Hi All,

I am currently getting all my medical stuff in order for admission (physical, boosters, etc.) and my doctor ordered an ultrasound for a possible goiter. I get that next week. Furthermore, I've had no shortage of health issues, including high-grade cells that are currently being monitored for possible advancement.

Anyway, not trying to project, but I am curious - what could possibly become an issue for technical standards? Is it more black and white (like military) or is it subjective (i.e. "Okay you have [condition] but you're accepting treatment without serious issue.") What sorts of things would cause a medical school to give me the Nope? Thanks for any feedback!
From what I have seen. Medical schools do their very best to accommodate for such thing like medical conditions. There comes a point however where if one becomes so debilitated that should you not meet technical standards despite accommodations then it will be an issue.

It is clinically subjective on interpreting some objective criteria for the technical standards, but there is much more leeway that other professions. There are FMLA and FERPA issues for taking a leave of absence for treatment, and they are quite crafty on getting things to work, but you are the one who has to initiate that post-admission. There are a couple of clear black and white issues that Occupational Medicine defines as no-go, but if you are writing this in cogent sentences, it is likely you pass those issues.
